What this plan does

You pay once. If the 75-mile rule is met, Inman arranges the journey home. This is not a reimbursement plan.

One-time price
$495 for one person. $990 for two. No renewal and no extra fee later for that membership.
Worldwide arrangements
Covered in the United States and in another country, when the death is 75 miles or more from legal residence.
The 75-mile rule
The plan can be used when the death is 75 miles or more from legal residence, including another country.
Funeral or cremation
Enrollment asks for funeral or cremation. Inman sets up a funeral home near the death, preparation, and the trip to the funeral home at home.
No reimbursement. Call first.
Inman has to arrange the service. Call 1-888-889-8508 before anyone moves the body. If someone else is hired first, the plan does not pay you back.
A couples option
The couples plan is $990 and covers two people. Same one-time membership. Same arrangements.

Call 1-888-889-8508. Inman Shipping Worldwide sets up the funeral home, the paperwork, and the transportation. If the family pays those bills first, the plan does not reimburse them.

Nothing more to pay for that trip

The membership was paid once, $495 or $990. There is nothing more to pay for the trip home that Inman arranges.

A few rules

  • Legal residence is the full-time home. If someone lived at another address for 180 days or more in the year before death, that address counts. A nursing home counts the same way after 180 days.
  • If you enroll while you are away from home, the plan does not start until you have gone home and then traveled again.
  • The plan does not cover medical tourism.
  • Call 1-888-889-8508 before anyone moves the body. The service has to be arranged by Inman. There is no reimbursement if someone else is hired first.
  • If you have not named a funeral home at home, the family is helped to choose one.

What counts as legal residence?
The person’s fixed, full-time home. An address counts if they lived there 180 days or more in the 12 months before death. A nursing home counts the same way after 180 days. There is no coverage if you enroll while you are away, until you return home and then travel again. The plan does not cover medical tourism.
