If the death is in another country
A death in another country is covered when that country is not the person’s home country. The same 75-mile rule applies inside their own country.
Call 1-800-321-0566 before the family starts making arrangements overseas. We find a funeral home near the place of death, get the documents including one death certificate, and arrange transportation to the funeral home at home. The plan covers unlimited international travel, but it does not cover medical tourism, and it does not pay you back if you arrange the shipping yourself.
Tell us before an international trip if you can. It makes the call easier if something happens.
